FBI arrests alleged hackers

The FBI arrested two alleged members of the prominent hacking groups Anonymous and LulzSec on Thursday morning in Phoenix and San Francisco, while charges have been secured against a third individual in Ohio.

The arrests are part of a surge of search warrants being executed against internet hackers, with more individuals targeted in New Jersey, Minnesota and Montana.

According to AFP, Cody Kretsinger will be charged with conspiracy and the unauthorised impairment of a protected computer, while Christopher Doyon and Joshua Covelli will be charged with conspiracy to cause intentional damage to a protected computer, causing intentional damage to a protected computer and aiding and abetting.

Anonymous is a prominent internet hacking and activist group famous for several big hacking attacks against various websites, such as PayPal’s. LulzSec has also claimed to be responsible for several hacking attempts.
